Fun to watch the bench go out and win the final game of 2014.
quite some talent and depth demonstrated. Great 89-win regular season.

BTW IIFID, just wondering if that Makers you got from Swampy was as sweet as I can imagine...

Hey Timmy....did you see Johnny G?

nice hit down the line first at bat and then showed his base running skills by scoring from first on Colons double. Second time at bat taking it to 2-2 or 3-2 and taking one of the thigh....then stealing second, getting to third on a past ball and then taking home on a pitch that was ball four and sitting in the left hand batters box. Third at bat made contact but out at first.

I am telling you if given the chance he will shine. Only one defensive opportunity on the fly ball where he took it so Raul didn't have to worry about it.

Don't guess it would have mattered if they won last night or not being Detroit won today...home game Tuesday night I can't help but think the place will be electric.

Great baserunning by Johnny G. He put on the pressure & is why Royals often win.
Pressure by base runners forces errors. Distracts pitchers and changes infielder locations. This facilitates base hits. Add great defense and pitching, and there ya go...

If pointing out what is considered one of the Top 10 blown calls in baseball history is hating.......

then guilty as charged

If having a bit of fun with the record of a team that hasn't been back to the playoffs in 29 years while the St Louis team seems to make a habit out of playing October baseball.......

then guilty as charged

Now the only baseball team that has been arse forked more than the Royals by Karma is the Chicago Cubs

You might want to make sure Steve Bartman never shows up anywhere near KC

just sayin

If Cardinals Karma had its way...........the grounds crew tarp would run over the entire Royals staring lineup before the game, there would be bad calls made in every inning, while a rally squirrel bit Ned Yost's balls..............after Denkinger was dropped from 50,000 ft with no parachute and landed on the Cardinals flag hanging above the stadium ass first before the first pitch.,..........not that anyone is still bitter about 1985.

Perfect time for an airstrike then. Take out DD and the Toyals at the same time. I like the way you think.

I sure hope they can figure out a way to get to Lester tomorrow. He has owned the Royals in his career.

I will be tuned-in tonight and pulling for the Royals. My long term wish is another I-70 World Series. MLB and the network would chit a meat ax. Not only would it not be the markets they want in the WS but it could prove to be the most boring WS on record (except for Missouri folks). It would be a bunch of 2-1 and 1-0 games...

I'm setting the odds right now at 1:100 for an I-70 WS. Any takers?

When the 1985 World Series trophy is returned and that banner is hung at Busch Stadium III we will let it go. Until then...........the beatings will continue. The Cubs had a goat problem. KC has a Cardinals problem

I wish the Royals were not up against the A's but I'll go homer city tonite.

Congrats to the Royals, Pirates and A's for winning with a salary roster well below average for the play off teams.

And we get to face the 216 million dollar tinsel town money show with the greatest fans in baseball.....between the 4th and 7th innings.

They try to get there before the first pitch. Traffic is so bad they can't get there until the 4th inning..........and after 3 hits of traffic to get there, they leave early to get in bed before 2am with the traffic to get home. I don't blame them.........but I still hate them.

This team just never gives up. No matter how badly various parts are playing, the rest just keep hacking away. Once the A's catcher went out KC ran wild on the bases. I didn't agree with bringing in Ventura in that situation; no experience in a game of that magnitude plus he can be wild. Oh, well; all's well that ends well. Now on to Anaheim. GO ROYALS!!!!!

"That what speed do"
Royals tied an MLB playoff record with 7 steals last night.
I think I heard a stat last night that the Royals had the fewest walks, fewest strikeouts and fewest home runs during the season in the American League. How do you do that??
If they had lost, Ned would have never lived down bringing in Ventura. WTH was that about when you have the best 1 - 2 - 3 punch in baseball bullpens in Herrera, Davis and Holland?

The job Finnegan did as a 21 year old with next to no MLB experience was amazing.

One helluva game last night. True fans of baseball watched it all and enjoyed that one. The outcome is never known and eventually EVERYTHING happens in this sport.

Royals have a lot of talent and character as demonstrated this season.

Just plain fun to watch!

Go Royals!

And could anyone look worse at bat last night than Perez?

Until the last ab that is.

The Shields move for Ventura? One lucky guy is who Ned Yost is.
