Well OK Readers Digest version. Back in February I was having some health issues and went to the doctor and had some tests run. When results came back heard the word no one wants to hear and that was the C word.Colo-rectal cancer
So we started 5 weeks of chemo and radiation, followed by in May, major, major surgery where they cut the alien bastage out of my gut before it could move out. Unfortunately they had to take a lot of me with it. Suffice to say no one can now call me an arsehole and be accurate. Got both butt cheeks sewn together and have to use a bag but better than the alternative. My last CT scan yesterday came back clean. Got a few weeks of SOP preventative chemo which is nothing compared to the pain and worry I have been thru the last 5 months and then I can really say I'm a cancer survivor. 
All the Docs say I'm clean of the cancer. Nothing got out to the lympths.So now maybe you'll see me a little more on the boards(as if anyone missed me anyway)

Been wondering about you old man. I'm glad to hear you are on the mend. My brother went through EXACTLY the same thing 1 year ago.....he is doing fine as well so here's to hoping you have a similar run.

My brother went through it as well, about six years ago. He is doing just fine.

Sorry to hear about this JD....The going through it part, not the clean bill of health part.
I don't understand how the medical minds can't find a cure for cancer with all of the technology available but, nevertheless, it sounds as you have it whipped!
Hopefully you will be back in the woods this fall playing runner up to the Mrs Fish and her BBC successes :lol:

Glad to hear they got it all, and to see you posting again. 
This October will make 10 years cancer free for me, so I know how good it feels to hear that each time.

Really good to see you back on here and hear the good news. Our prayers have been with you and very happy you are kicking that bastages ass. I bet Mrs. fish will be glad to see you out and about and out of her way. Now go catch some fish and have a beer.

Thanks to all you debauched miscreants for all your well wishes and encouragement.
It has been a turkeyless, mushroomless, fishless and mostly beerless year for us so far. Boat hasn't moved or camper visited since last October. Hopefully that will change soon
