So wins in post season don't count?

Not in your win total. You win the ALDS you win it. Three wins. You win the ALCS that's 4 wins. Win the WS you get 4 win in the WS.
Just like all those hits, HR and great pitching totals don't xount in the stat book except the post season star books. They are wins just not wins on the season record. Yall are overthinking this........but a 3 decade drought will do that to a mind

Turns out this was the new bet offered on 4/1/14. Prior to that when the bet came out on 3/10/14, there was no mention of only including reg. season games.
So it seems, Swampy was tryin' to change the wager some 3 weeks after the original bet for a jug, right?.
Good thing is that everybody is happy happy happy about how them Royals are doin'..

Well they didn't make my 90 regular season wins; they got 89. According to Dawg the Royals hater the others don't count. But, I don't care. A lot of other teams are sitting at home while the Royals go to the Big Dance. And, if the Cards don't wake up they will be sitting, too.
Looking back, this postseason run was probably forged in the games where the Royals were trying to catch the Tigers. That was probably the same as postseason pressure to the players. They learned how to really fight through adversity.
Oh, and one other thing; the 29-year curse is BROKEN!!!!
GO ROYALS!!!!

I'm don't care about bets, raw fish, or bottles of booze. I'm simply talking stats. The Royals won 89 games this season. They haven't won 97 nor will they win 101. They won 89 games. This isn't about whether or not someone has to buys some food or booze. Its about historical facts. Postseason stats are post sesason stats. Period. Just like the 8 straight post season wins to set a record. Its 8-0 in the playoffs, not 97-73 on the season.
I hope yall are on that bandwagon. Its been getting tighter every day, but with a WS berth......there won't be any room on it.

Please tell me where I said I hate the Royals. I HATE Don Denkinger. I HATE that yall won the 1985 WS title. I hate being in downtown KC. I hate KC roads. Do I root for the Royals all year long. NO Never have. I grew up rooting for winning teams. Teams with longstanding traditions. The Cardinals and the Yankees. I loved the old Yankees teams prior to 1970. I loved going to Yankees games in the early 90's even though they sucked ass. Today not so much. They buy players instead of developing them.
I'm happy for the diehard Royals fans. The ones with worn out Royals hats from years of use, or the ones who listen daily on the radio or watch the TC to catch their games.....or my buddies who have season tickets and have spent years watching miserable baseball and a damn near empty ballpark. I'm happy for those folk. The rest of the people are the fair weather fans who obviously just starting showing up.......hell with 2 weeks left in the season, and only 2 games back and with a wild card spot at that time held, 19,000 folks showed up for a Sunday baseball game......which is about the average crowd size for the season......with lots of empty seats the for 3-4 games before and after that Sunday. The fan finally stepped up the last homestand with sellouts. Where were those fans all year long.
Live it up. Maybe the bubble bursts....maybe it keeps on going. Enjoy the ride. I want paybacks for 1985

Dog you go to Herculean lengths to split hairs on this topic. I hear ya but wins are wins. Just a casual observation...depends on the bet details which was what I was asking about.
Wins count...stop hatin' bro.
Go Royals!

Yes wins count. 89 wins in the regular season. 8 post season wins. How more simple is that. It's the same way baseball has been keeping stats since they started post seasons. Why change it now because KC is in for the second time in 50+ years

Hatin........yall crack me up. Hating would be hoping your starting Center fielder gets arrested and misses the post season. Hating would be praying Billy Butler dies on the shitter while trying to push out his 7th trip to the buffet line for breakfast. But carry on anyway with yalls thinking.

Congrats to the Royals and all that has happened so far. It is not over yet still 4 more games left to win. All the other stuff I don't even care. Finally just before all my kids are out of the house and gone I got to watch the post season with one of my boys. And then I get a call last night from the oldest away at college and all he screamed was you ought to see the party in the house tonight...... Go Royals. Happy night.

San Fran in 6. It pains me to say it but I think the magic pixie dust has worn off. The layoff is too long and the Giants are just better. If they could have rolled right into Game 1, I might have picked the upset. But it seems like it has been a month since they played and they were rolling with a ton of emotion. Hard to keep that going with all those days off.
Anyone picking the Royals to win this thing?
(that ought to get the west-side boys going)

I agree on it being a 6 game series. Winner to be announced. But, that's why they play the game. KC has to beat Bumgarner at least once to have the upper hand. Shields hasn't been the "Big Game" lately.

Ummmm....if the Cardinals just played solid D they more than likely win that series. Even with the drought in the middle of the order.
Throw in on top of that good D a competent manager, who understands post season play is NOT regular season play and the series was a lock for the Cardinals.
I'll put my money on the Royals and risk a bad layoff period.
