Yep Queto sucked last night again. These last two games are some of the worst in his career, so we'll see where we go from here....
That many Oriole homers at Kaufman in one night was a surprise. Well, they were due. LOL!!!

Cueto had one GREAT season........and he still allowed a ton of HR's that year. He had one above average year outside of 2014 The rest of his stats are not impressive and he is overrated. He would be fighting for the #3 starting spot in STL. Fork Johnny Cueto.

Royals still have a losing record against teams with a record of .500 or better.

Food for thought.....
.....I firmly believe you can find statistical data to back up just about whatever you want to prove...all you have to do is look.
People can talk about -
- Starting pitching for your team has an ERA that is XXXX, which is way worse than our team, which is ZZZZZZ.
- Oh, you play in the weakest league in the majors, if you had to compete with good teams your record would be terrible.
- You get an extra out every batting rotation because your recreation league doesn't even make the pitchers hit.
It got me to thinking - and here is the stat from this year I found interesting....for what it is worth.
The Royals were matched up against National League Central teams 19 games (if I counted correctly...very well could have made a mistake) so far this season - The record for the Royals against those teams is 13-6....or a winning percentage of .684. (You know....the big boy league)
While at the same time, the Cardinals were matched up against American League Central teams 20 games (if I counted correctly...very well could have made a mistake)so far this season - The record for the Cardinals against those teams is 11-9.....or a winning percentage of .55. (You know.....the AAA league)
My statistical review is done for the year - you can make them say whatever you want to...they are just numbers.
Next up - the Ray's.

Dayumnit Dabacus! Don't go throwing numbers around! That's Dawgs job! And they are only supposed to be slanted that way!

Well we go dig even deeper into number if you want. In interleague play the Royals are 8-2 at home, but when they have to travel to unfriendly ground, they are 5-4 with one more game to play at Wrigley. The Cards have a losing record to 2 teams this season and neither one of them will be in the playoffs, unlike the Royals who are losing 7-8 season series matchup currently.
I realize you might be new to this whole playoff thing...........so having a pitching staff with ERA's in the 4's and one in the 5's...........and a losing record against teams who will make the playoffs isn't a good thing.
At the end of the day the only number that matters right now is 82......which means if the Royals played in the Big boy league as Dabs put it........they would be in second place. ...........and 1/2 game out of 3rd place.

Statistics only lie when they are either inaccurate, not a valid comparison or meaningless but presented as being insightful.
Source of the following:

and
Major league Standings-Google
https://www.google.com/search?q=mlb+standings&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8
KC versus NL Central
Cubs season.579 1W KC 1W total 2g 1postponed
Reds season .413 0W KC 4W total 4g
Brewers season .417 0W KC 4W total 4g
Pirates season .611 1W KC 2W total 3g
Cards season .646 4W KC 2W total 6g
NL Central 6 Wins Royals 13 Wins/19 Games =.684 win pct
Obviously the bottom of the NL Central Barrel isn't even close to KC.(KC 8 and 0)
Cards vs AL Central
Royals season .614 2W Cards 4W total 6g
Twins season .512 2W Cards 2W total 4g
W Sox season .476 2W Cards 2W total 4g
Indians season.476 1W Cards 2W total 3g
Tigers season .472 1W Cards 2W total 3g
AL Central 8 Wins Cards 12 Wins/20 games =.600
Tigers and the Padres are the ONLY team that the Cardinals have a losing record against.
Royals have losing record against Boston,Houston,Yankees,Cards,Rangers,Blue Jays.
I believe the numbers speak for themselves
So you are correct with the .684 vs .600
As far as you counting the correct number of games.......

If I had a statistical curious bone I would Google for 3 minutes and counter the counters with more stuff....but I don't.
82 does mean 1st in the NL Central.....but no more than that.
78 means 1st in the AL Central and no more than that.
What really matters is who decides they want to have a hot streak in the post season....and the only person that can tell us who that will be is griffin.....

Oh c'mon---that's pretty weak
if anyone else used that no "statistical curious bone" and 3 Minutes but you don't have time response (you certainly had enough time to make the post comparing the Al Central/NL Central)
you'd be all over him for blowing off all the facts and making it up as he went along yada yada yada
doesn't take 3 minutes to see the Royals remaining schedule and it doesn't take 3 minutes to see Vegas has them at 4 to 1 to win the series.
I agree with Timmy-- I think he will be getting some booze from Tom....
Vegas probably wouldn't want to make book on him not getting it either.

Well the problem is that kiddieland ya'll call the AL Central has got your head the size of a beach ball.
Try a season with Cards, Pittsburgh and Chicago in your division and see where that would leave you.
Right now, kiddieland included, your 4 games back. 17 games away from where you sit now.
And don't get me started on that AL-NL record......Ya'll don't play real baseball anyway. Inter league is a complete forkin joke and shouldn't be played. Fork that DH and the donkey who sold it to you chumps. You gotta be blind as a mole to cheer a bunch of hackers who can't even throw a baseball never the less chase one down.
The day the NL goes DH is the day I quit watching what used to be baseball.

Gomer is on his 7th team in 5 years. Word is he doesn't own a home and never unpacks his suitcase. Almost all trades after July 31st is just someone else taking out your own trash for you.. Gomer clearing waivers to the Royals, means not a single other team in the entire AL thought he was worth signing. Great pickup.
