Uh-oh!! This just in - Rios has a fractured left hand from that pitch yesterday and is going on the DL. I hope Dyson and Orlando can hold down the fort. It's a shame because Rios had started really well.
I think the Royals have had 12 batters hit in the first 7 games. Is this a trend at this point? Are other teams purposefully throwing at the Royals now to try to intimidate them?

And they showed an interview with Ned and he seems to be starting to get pissed. Something tells me the next time the Royals face the Sox, the Angels or the Twinkies there may be some payback. And if a Royals player gets hit in the next game I would believe there will be some pretty quick payback.

It is an incredibly small sample size, but the Royals leading MLB in runs scored? I think we're in an alternative universe..

The Battlin' Boys in Blue! I imagine we will have some serious suspensions. This could go on all season with the Pale Hose. These two teams REALLY dislike each other. I t went back to last year. The Royals announcers said that something happened (not sure what) in the top of the 7th that had both teams at the top rail screaming at each other. IMHO Ventura has acted like a punk. He better get his emotions in order. He is going to get his teammates hurt with this crap.

Ventura has acted a fool - he is acting like a punk. I think the Royals have been over-reacting but some of it has been earned. I believe their batters have been hit by pitches the most in MLB. I think teams realize it's a young team and are trying anything to get them off their game by trying to intimidate them.

lets see, batters have been hit over 16 times with one player on the DL because of being hit...another hit in the face last night...our shortstop missed a few games after a cheap slide into second base.
Maybe the truth is others tried to intimidate them, but now the Royals not only got game now, but a spine too...

Some of this has been well deserved pay back. Some of it (mainly Ventura) has been an immature jerk acting the fool. I don't understand why after there was a warning issued to both dugouts when Sale hit Moose in the head, that he dayum near hit Cain and nothing was done?

Maybe if a few of them played real baseball and had to go to the plate every now and then they'd think twice about what they're doing on the mound.

I do agree that KC needs to get Ventura under control. The team needs him on the mound; not sitting on the bench suspended. KC is really getting hammered in the press but I think that if they had taken care of business several series ago none of this junk would have happened. Can't just sit by while your hitters are being used for target practice.
