I agree Tim that Zobrist is a big deal. K. Morales has been a surprise and a model DH.
As for Gordo heading to greener pastures, that would absolutely "gut" a stadium full of Midwestern fans. But not sayin' he couldn't or won't. When is his contract up?

Prepare to be gutted then. Gordon's contract has a player option for 2016. Why play in KC for $12.5 million when the open market will pay way more. KC will hope for the hometown discount, but those days are over. At $100 million without 2 outfielders and 7 more players, KC ownership will have to dig deep, which is something they have never done. Until KC puts a tons of asses in the seats, in a 3rd or 4th place year, they won't spend the money year in and out for no return.
you can put all the numbers spin on it that you want but you left out the winning part and heart . most teams wish they had that. but that's why there not there I guess . as for putting fans in the seats got try to buy a ticket. I live 30 miles away and I can here the fans [ almost] lol so hate all you want but just like Missouri duck hunting our time is now

We were baby sitting and watched Hocus Pocus on the family channel. 
Didn't realize that there was a game last night with all the rain falling in the state

I was watching.
Then I saw where they announced 10 guys for the starting lineup to play a baseball game.
The Blues game was great. So were the Rams fans at the Peabody Center.

Yep, 14 innings makes for a long-arse 5-hour game.
Gordo's homer in the 9th to tie was huge! 
Mets look to be a real challenge. They have a ton of talent!!!

It cracks me up reading all the chit on the interweb from the Royals fans about how rude, classless and annoying the Mets and Jays fans are..
This coming from a fanbase who booed Cano relentlessly at a friggin exhibition HR derby cause he didn't pick Bart Colon's white twin, William Butler, for the derby..
The same fanbase who was wanting manager Ned Yost fired as late as August last year, just prior to their post season run..
The same fanbase who hacked the all-star balloting this year and damn near had a guy batting .200 starting at 2B..
Same fanbase who has multiple petitions online trying to keep Joe Buck from covering the WS on tv cause they think he didn't "talk" about their team enough last year on tv.. boo hoo

KC may be good but Mets is gonna win the whole thing. I know the cub fans where hoping that whole back to the future crap thing would have panned out. But just like the Royal pain the arse they ain't about to win the World Series this year of the next for that matter. Don't like any other baseball team other than the Cards. Been that way my entire like. KC has a decent team but just the little that I have read here I can see we have a handful of those misguided creatures that actually believe they have a change.

Not watching.....don't care about either team. I suppose I might have watched if the Cubs were in, just for the novelty....but there is no way to get me to watch this series. Both teams suck.

I see our haters have all kinds of excuses not to watch the Royals knock the snot outta the Mets.
Not sure I understand why ya'll can't face the facts that KC is the real thing. They will pull it off by playing baseball like it was supposed to be played...as a team.
I believe the Royals team is about as tight and talented as any in the majors. Time will tell....
