Nope. After years of closers like Lee Smith, Izzy, Jason Motte, and now Rosenchoke, we have come to count on 9th inning issues. Hard to sweat in 70 degree AC

21 games over .500. Took two out of three from the Astros and beat another ace in Keuchel. Now 10 road games in the next 11 days. Nice to have a 7.5 game lead in the Central and now adding Johhny Cueto.

Swing the pine? Doesn't your team play in some abortion of a league that doesn't even let pitchers swing and the teams pay huge money so some old crippled bastard can sit on the bench all game long and run his yap in between walks to the plate?

Every once in a while....with all the television channels available now....we get to watch one of those big league games where pitchers also bat. Games of the week and such.
We are now 9 games up in the pony league - word has it there was a pretty incredible infield assist last night.

Kinda like Lee used to say about the NL Central a few years back......if the Royals actually played in a tougher division, they wouldn't even be relevant. Outside of the Royals, the entire AL Central is full of bad teams. Outside of the AL Central, the only worse division is the NL East.

Show me another team that has lost as any good players that STL has year in and year out, and still figures out a way to make the playoffs this many years. Every hear they lose a keep player, but Somehow figure our a way to go deep in the playoffs
