2015 Saint Louis Rams......
      #249301 - 07/07/15 05:49 AM

.......break camp in about 3 weeks.

The D WILL BE this team.

Can Foles find his form of 2013? Chip Kelly doesn't think so. He's gambled on Bradford.

And of course, the biggest story of all, will Stanely Enos Kronke get to yank this team from the Lou for Tinseltown?

Right now, he's looking like the biggest POS team owner this city has ever had. And that's saying a lot.

Peacock with another big hurdle cleared today.

He set the pins up perfectly and the judge knocked 'em down like it was a script.

Not sure where this is goin for sure but the JO from Columbia might be squirmin a bit right now.......

I know nobody around here gives a chit about that team but I do and, after all the terrible past years, it is ready to turn around right when this pr1ck wants to jump to LA.

ENOS STANLEY Kronke, named after two of STL's greats, bad hair piece and all.....wants LA. A 6 billion dollar billionaire who, at 67 years old, will tear this town apart for more money.

Fork him.

I hope Peacock and company can somehow someway fork his chit up.

One of the best games in many moons.

D is for real and Nick Foles had one hell of a game. Tough tough guy.

If Gurley is the real deal this running back crew will be one of the best in league. All 3 guys.

And congrats to the young O line for hangin in there.

Not sure if I enjoyed watching Pete Carroll lose more than the Rams win... But dayum, that was one incredible comeback win for a team that has spent the last 10+ years figuring out new ways to lose. If the D can stay healthy they will be a force. It's early but Foles appears to have what this team has been missing since Kurt Warner left, HEART!!

They have to win next week. The Redskins are terrible and the next three weeks after that may be the toughest three-game stretch of the season, with Pittsburgh, Arizona & Green Bay.

Hey Bubba.......any way I can count on Gurley to have a big opener if he plays this Sunday?

O line is young and struggled last weekend, he may have to find his own holes a fair bit.

I'm hoping like hell he is what I think he is.

Welp, I had the 6 correct. And if Big Ben would not have had his knee smashed, the 34 would not have been far off.

Where can I go to bet everything I own that the Rams will be 1-4, two weeks from now? This defense is very good but can't seem to bring it every game. Hard to see them stopping a good team two weeks in a row, much less three weeks in a row. They have proven to be inconsistent from week-to-week. Until they show they can play their best week-after-week, don't plan on seeing it. No need to discuss the offense. It is simply abysmal. After four years, 21 offensive draft picks, free agent signings to improve it and a hand picked O-Coordinator, the Rams are statistically the worst offense in the NFL. Thank you Jeff Fisher and Les Sneed!!

Glass half full? I wish I were that optimistic about the Rams. This team will be very lucky to finish 8-8. I now seriously wonder if Kroenke, Sneed and Fisher are working together to make it a smooth transition to LA. It is much easier with a losing team and empty dome. This team is certainly helping with that part...

I usually wait until Friday to make any predictions for the next game but I think this one is pretty safe:

Arizona - 28
St. Louis - 10 (may get one defensive gift or TD)

Road game and a tough, stupid loss last week.

But it's a division game, I don't see an 18 point swing.

I think it will be close. GB next week so 2-2 would save their season....for now.

Rams HAVE to win this game.

The "visiting" team should be the team playing in STL next year...

ARZ is pretty solid. I see em putting at least 30+ on the Rams.

If we follow the trend, the Rams Defense shows up every other game. This would be a non-defense week. 30+ is a very real possibility. Of course the offense shows up every week but just isn't very good. I really can't see them scoring more than 10...

But hey, they play the games for a reason. On any given Sunday... Right?

Well boys you bet against a good D and you lost. I can forgive Haus, but in general Sportsmn, you should know this team plays division foes different than others. After all, it's one of Fishers great qualities.

I have gambled a total of about $200 in my whole life and this is why...

You have to tip your hat to them. Maybe, just maybe the days are coming when this team can show up for all of the games...

Thanks Dad!

Totally surprised by the outcome and impressed. They need to string it all together now, a week at a time.

I still want to see the football Cardinals back in STL..

"string it together" has been there biggest problem of all.

Road trip to Lambeau Field next week then the Bye so I imagine they are going to have a very tough time up there.

After the bye, the schedule gets a lot more reasonable if these forkers can manage to play at their best each week.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here, we've got to get past Arizona first.

Look, I think the Lambs have a shot at Arizona if Gurley shows the promise that he did before his injury. If Gurley runs wild, call it St. Louis 24-22. If he's still not up to speed, it's going to be along day for the Rams Offense and they will likely go down by a couple of touchdowns.

Peacock and Blitz land Jack Taylors National Car Rental for a 160 million dollar naming rights deal on the new stadium .

On the eve of the owners meeting in NY today.

What these guys have accomplished in the last year is totally unreal. I have never seen anything like it in this town before. The unachievable is one big step away from being achieved.

I believe the guy with the bad wig is officially squirming in his seat this morning. I am not saying anything is a done deal but man has the landscape changed since the Inglewood Stadium was proposed by d1ckhead back in January.

I know to follow this ain't every body's cup of tea but it's been one crazy ride between the 3 teams and the 4 cities. The nfl has a big mess on their hands and we all know they are quite capable of forking up a wet dream.

I have to agree with your assessment of what they have accomplished in the last year or so. It has been impressive. I just can't mentally get over one thing: Guys worth $7+ billion almost always get their way. Even if the NFL does not approve the move, I can see him pulling an Al Davis and just moving the team and saying, "See ya in court..." The more likely scenario is he tells them this in advance and they pull whatever shenanigans they need to make it happen and stay out of court (where they lose either way).

I am leaning towards something going down that nobody predicts or sees happening. I can see the Taylors ending up as NFL owners somehow, someway... I can see Kroenke in LA with a team and ST. Louis with a team. I can also see this whole thing getting tabled for another year. Who knows?

If you two boneheads think what has happened in the last year is impressive, wait until you see what I predict will happen by the end of the day today.

I predict National Car Rental will ink a deal to own the naming rights to the new stadium. I'm guessing it will be in the ballpark ( that's a little Tues morning humor for you two bastards while you sit around waiting for me to tell you what will happen) of 160 million.

Well it's been 10 months of unpredictable so no reason to expect anything different when the dust settles.

The last real barrier I can see is the Board of alderman vote. If those goofs don't sign off on this deal there is no hope for this city. A 1 billion dollar project the city gets for 15 cents on the dollar, and most all of that 15 cents is paid by out of towners via hotel and car rental taxes.

Shad Kahn with a tweet yesterday: "Maybe there's a plan C we should consider....."

I don't think Taylor is on the potential owner list but if you are worth 15 billion he's not off any list for any thing.

Peacock is said to have 2 owner groups somewhat positioned if in fact d1ckhead wants to bail.

As for d1ckheads wealth and power, it's real for sure, but he's in a group of fellow egomaniacs who just might have their own ideas. No one likes him other than the clown in Texas. He's basically been estranged from league stuff like he is with everything else in his life. Spanos is liked and apparently, Spanos cannot stand the mf'er.

Who knows. I just know how far this little 'ol town has come to counter d1ckhead and Tinsel Town. It is dam impressive.

I'll give my prediction Sunday nite, right before griffins.

I'd say normally it's hard to separate the wheat from the chafe as far as what went down yesterday with the offense of this team but not true. Todd Gurley was the only piece of wheat in that pile yesterday. And that includes this coaching staff, maybe the worst day I've seen from Jeff & Company.

The Pack is a very good team and they got it done with their defense, pretty much a twist for them.

It's a bye week so I'm kinda itchy. Barring big injuries, and in spite of it all, Rams will go 9-7 on the year at worst and the playoffs might be in reach.

So I need 7-4 to finish up. Piece of cake.

Don't get to watch a lot of games, eh?

This has been about par for the course since he's been here. A few things you can count on with a Rams team under Fisher:

Plenty of penalties but not just run-of-the-mill penalties. No, his teams take them at the worst possible times. We're talking drive-killing, red zone, opponent-assisting blunders that help in their self destruction.

Inconsistent play from this supposedly "great" defense. Consistently lead the league in giving up big plays (most plays given up of 30 yards or more). Great run defense one week and apparent inability to stop some no-name, rookie RB the next.

No consistent offensive threat to speak of and mostly bad offensive game plans and play calling. Of course you can't expect an O-Coordinator to craft a Patriots'-like offense with almost no talent on that side of the ball.

I would love nothing more than to jump back on the Rams bandwagon but really see little hope of this team going much more than .500. And if they do squeak into the playoffs, do they have the sort of offense that can even win a game against another playoff team?

The win in the desert was pretty dang impressive both sides of the ball.

The D performance yesterday was pretty much outstanding.

The pieces are there and as you say so are all the haunts.

They either get past the let downs or they don't. I do think they have a shot to get a LOT better with this D (It's good for real) and now Gurley, 300 yards rushing against 2 good teams.

We'll see. The schedule is better on out.

The schedule is in their favor the rest of the way. If they get any sort of an offensive effort they could go 9-7 or even 10-6. But Fisher does not seem to be able to put it all together. The biggest thorn in my side it the damn penalties. I saw some stats that show some really good teams with plenty of penalties. But those teams have the ability to overcome them. The Rams have no room for error and keep making errors. At some point, you would think Fisher would crack down on that. How in the fork does and O-lineman get a false start penalty in the redzone, AT HOME!?!?!?!? HE KNOWS THE FORKIN' SNAP COUNT!!!!

I feel very confident they won't lose this week. Bank on it...

If the Rams lose this game, pack it in... The Browns are 32nd in run defense and the Rams O-line has actually shown some signs of gelling and being able to run block. They should run for over 200 yards and control the game. On the other side of the ball, the Browns O-line should not be able to stop the Rams pass rush. If they can't get at least 4 or 5 sacks, it will be a huge disappointment.

A loss puts them at 2-4 and gives little hope that any Fisher team can be counted on to show up for games they should win. On the other hand, a win puts them at 3-3, with some very winnable games in front on them...

So, to quote Meatloaf, "What's it gonna be boy...?"

140, 160 and 130.

Not too shabby for a rookies first 3 games. We have a difference maker.

If Foles can steady his game this offense may be able to come together enough to win the winnable.

Relatively painful game for 2 1/2 quarters. Officiating was horrendous but it looked like the Browns got more of the bad calls than the Rams. Nice to be on the other end of that...

This defense played well but did give up some big plays and got a few very nice assists from the zebras. Overall, you have to feel good about the "D". Now they just need to show up for every game.

The offense now has at least one legitimate weapon. If they only had a marquee receiver and QB that can get it to him...

Let's see how they fare against the 2-5, 49'ers. No reason they should lose this game, especially at home. They need to get on top early, then let Gurley run, run, run...

A few more 100+ yard game and he could be Rookie of the Year...

Niners in town. A win here and we go over .500 for the first time in uh..........long long time.

We should win. Being a division game nothing is for sure and it might end up a dog fight but gimme the ugly W anytime.

Time for Foles to end the doubts and run this offense right over 'em.

Considering the duck hunting isn't exactly premium, I may watch this game live. They are 8 point favorites but what should scare anyone is the O/U line at 39.5. You figure it could be a little lower because of the Rams D. But you know the rest of the reason is due to their lame offense. I doubt there is another O/U line in the NFL, under 42 this week. I'd still bet the over...

Foles is what he is... His best games are going to be about ball security and managing an average (or slightly below average) offense. He needs to figure out how to get into the 20's and he can take this team to the playoffs. Or more accurately, this Defense can take them into the playoffs.

Another test to see if they have learned to show up for every game, regardless of the "should win" prognostications. These are the games that have tripped them up in the not-to-distant past.

Pretty much a beat down on Kaeperd1ck and the Whiners. Should have been more.

The offense was much improved over last weeks game. Foles, too. He seemed a lot more comfortable dropping back and he was better protected as well. They have a ways to go to contend, but as I see it they are getting better each game and might just get better enough to win some of the bigger games down the stretch.

Gurley continues his torrid pace and he had 60 tough yards beyond the big 70 yard sprint. Austin remains dangerous.

So the D remains the juggernaut. Game saving. It's top 5 to me and I don't see them forkin up short of multiple injuries.

Minny coming up on the road. Foles and company need to take another step to be better.

That game was the most painful thing I've seen in a looong while. Bad, sloppy, ugly game and that is just referring to the officiating. The 49ers were an embarrassment to football and the Rams did their best to follow suit. The NFL should have cut-in, apologized for airing that game and switched over to something else, like another game or Gilligan's Island reruns.

Here's all you need to watch for in the Minnesota game. First, can the defense keep showing up? This is by far the longest stretch of decent play they've had in a while. As a jaded Rams fan, it is easy to just expect the let down. Second, can anyone on the Rams catch passes with any degree of consistency? Austin is the closest thing they have to a legitimate threat and even he drops a few.

The true test will be if they get down by a score or two in the 2nd half. Can this offense come back?

As bad as it was, it was better than the week before. Foles wasn't jumping around, he hit some big passes and had much better protection.

The offense is getting better each week. PP and run blocking. If we are to contend, this has to continue.

I like our chances in Minnesota. It's a good test match up, on the road, very similar strengths and weaknesses. Yes they are a 5 win team, But their biggest win of all this season is against the 3-5 Chiefs.

After watching them play in Week 1, I wouldn't have been surprised every week since then if they lost.

They had zero run blocking and little pass blocking the first few weeks and Manning ain't a mobile dude.

Last week, they looked pretty impressive against Green Bay.
Offense moved the ball on both rushing and passing. Total offense of 500 yds.
Defense again was strong. Guessing here, but I thought I heard em say a lil over 100 yds total offense for GB??

The defense has pretty much won all of their games, period.

If they stay healthy on both sides and play like they did this past Sunday, they'll finish up good. They're going to have to run the ball more to give Manning time or he won't hold up. There is still issues with the whole o-line.

Yeah the Broncos had something else in mind for him this season but quickly changed their minds.

Looking at their schedule, they should be a lock now with 7 wins.

Can't imagine he plays another season, it would be pretty cool to go out with a bang. The GB game says they have the D to do that.

The Broncos picking up Davis from San Fan could be huge. If he and Manning can gel, that may just be what the doctor ordered. Manning needs a big, steady, reliable target for the shorter throws and for when pass protection breaks down. The issue is how long Davis and/or Manning can go before breaking down. They are both a little fragile...

My son-in-law has been a Broncos fan since he was a kid. He lives and dies with them. Last week he didn't want to watch the GB game with anyone because he didn't think the odds were too good for his Broncos...

Thankfully, it was the opposite.

While it is exciting to get a proven player, they need some blocking. Either these current guys suck, or they haven't caught on to the new scheme..?? Here's hopin they are still learnin..

Classic Jeff Fisher loss. He is the master at snatching defeat from the hands of victory. I saw in the Post-Dispatch where Jeff Gordon gave grades and gave Fisher a B. I would have given him a D- or F. No wonder this team can't win big games. The expectation at every level is that they can be successful without actually winning.

Foles is at his best when he is handing the ball to a RB, making short passes to his below average receivers and not turning the ball over. He is not taking any team to a Super Bowl, ever. His best hope is to get into a playoff game and pray like heck that the "D" can hold the other teams to 10 points or less.

I wasted 60 minutes on it. Thank god for tape delay. Only needed to watch the first 3 qtrs.

Perhaps the worst game under Fisher's tenure. The biggest game, and the worst game.

And it all fits into weirdo's plan. I do believe STL is the only nfl city that would actually fight to keep this team.

I guess there is a reason he has 6 winning seasons in 20+ years as an NFL Head Coach. It sure looked like he and Sneed could turn this mess around and guess they did if you consider 6 and 7 win teams a turnaround from 2 and 3 win teams. Silly me, I thought the goal was playoffs and a run at the Super Bowl.

I have to revise my assessment of Foles above. I was far to generous. He just isn't an NFL caliber QB. Granted, his O-line is weak and his receivers are far below average but he had several opportunities in the last two games to make passes to open receivers and just simply couldn't do it. I think Philly and STL were both snickering when the trade was made and now realize they were both had.

I don't like to write off young pro athletes. Particularly one who just 2 years ago set some very impressive nfl records.

But yesterday, the guy who first said "can't hit the broad side of a barn" was smiling somewhere because he just found his namesake. It was literally the worst I think I have seen, certainly remember anyway.

Foles was the reason we lost as I saw it. The D didn't help, but I put it on Foles. As far as the Philly trade goes, looking like both teams put some whip cream on top of a turd.

Here's what I know. Foles has not been the same qb since Mathews popped him a good one in that GB game.

If Fisher gives him the chance, he has a few games left to prove he's a starting nfl qb.

I didn't watch the Rams game & haven't watched them play at all this year, so I can't really comment on the o-line, but...

after watching Denver all year and their horrible o-line, you have to give it a big look.

folks will argue, but is Tom Brady REALLY a great QB or is he a by-product of a great system and great o-line???

Think back to the year the Chefs busted up his leg. Who replaced him? Cassel did and he went on to win a chitload of games that year. He was the next coming of Jesus, behind Brady. So much so, that KC dropped a chitload of coin on the guy cause he looked so great in New England.

Now he's been thru 3-4 teams, playing backup for Dallas and still looks like chit. Why? Cause he wasn't that good to begin with.

So back to the o-line deal, if a system has a great o-line that protects the qb and can also run the ball, hell, you two old farts could qb for New England..

I still say brady is a by-product. You put him on another team with no running game & chitty pass blocking, he'll look like dog chit. yes he has talent, but...

How is STL's running game?? Non-existant??

HAUS, I see your point and don't completely disagree. But you have to give credit to Brady for making the passes, even when everyone else is doing their jobs well. Watch the failed QB's over the last few years and the vast majority of them simply can't hit the targets when they're open. A huge part of the success of Kurt Warner was the fact that he could hit Holt and Bruce and even Faulk with pinpoint accuracy, when they were open. If you put Foles in Brady's spot right now he would be better, no question. But he would not be anywhere near the caliber of Brady. Had you been watching the Rams games, you would see balls sailing high, underthrown and both too far in front or behind open receivers. Either he just doesn't have what it takes or he needs a shrink!!!

BTW, I'm feeling a bit sorry for Broncos fans. That situation is deteriorating rapidly, right in front of our very eyes. But mother nature NEVER gets beat. She has a firm grasp on Manning and isn't letting go...

I hear ya Haus and I agree. As bad a time as Lock is having if he had just a decent O line he's probably be way ahead of now. No doubt a better line helps Foles too BUT Foles is having all kinds of issues. Finding the open guy, holding the ball too long and then just horrible accuracy in general, pressure aside.

He might get benched this week. I would be surprised, particularly with Fisher, but honestly his play was that inexcusably bad imo.

If he wants to be a starter in this league, the clock is ticking.

Well said.

Ya think the jack off that owns this sad team wants a 10 or 11 win season this year.....as he tries to move them to LA?

Ya think he wants a stadium full of St Louis fans?

What franchise does he own that has fans who like him or want him or think he is worth more than a pot of piss?

An owner who disdains the fans who have rooted for this 12 year losing franchise. 12 forkin years. An owner who has not spoken a forkin word to his teams fans in 42 months. Not one forkin word.

The Missourah boy. FUUUUUUCK YOU.

And now we have Jeff Fisher, lashing out when asked about team effort. Walking off the podium I hear. Wonder where he gets his lead.

I knew the day he trumped Kahn back in 2010 would be a day of regret. I'm wrong plenty enough, wish I was wrong on that one.

They used to have a QB named Payton something or other, didn't they? Now that have Dirk Nowitzki slinging the ball...

You know, that dude must have an ego the size of Texas. He's one good hit away from moving around by blowing into a straw, on his wheelchair and he just keeps going out there asking for it... I would love to ask him 20 years from now, if the last 3-4 years of his career were really worth it?

I sure was looking forward to reading on social media about all the botched calls yesterday that caused the Patriots to lose, again, but I didn't come across any..

Y'all ready to let Bidwill bring his team back to StL??
