140, 160 and 130.

Not too shabby for a rookies first 3 games. We have a difference maker.

If Foles can steady his game this offense may be able to come together enough to win the winnable.

Relatively painful game for 2 1/2 quarters. Officiating was horrendous but it looked like the Browns got more of the bad calls than the Rams. Nice to be on the other end of that...

This defense played well but did give up some big plays and got a few very nice assists from the zebras. Overall, you have to feel good about the "D". Now they just need to show up for every game.

The offense now has at least one legitimate weapon. If they only had a marquee receiver and QB that can get it to him...

Let's see how they fare against the 2-5, 49'ers. No reason they should lose this game, especially at home. They need to get on top early, then let Gurley run, run, run...

A few more 100+ yard game and he could be Rookie of the Year...

Dude - their baseball team is in the World Series.....it pretty much renders them unable to think. It's like they found a hundred dollar bill on the sidewalk.

Niners in town. A win here and we go over .500 for the first time in uh..........long long time.

We should win. Being a division game nothing is for sure and it might end up a dog fight but gimme the ugly W anytime.

Time for Foles to end the doubts and run this offense right over 'em.

Considering the duck hunting isn't exactly premium, I may watch this game live. They are 8 point favorites but what should scare anyone is the O/U line at 39.5. You figure it could be a little lower because of the Rams D. But you know the rest of the reason is due to their lame offense. I doubt there is another O/U line in the NFL, under 42 this week. I'd still bet the over...

Foles is what he is... His best games are going to be about ball security and managing an average (or slightly below average) offense. He needs to figure out how to get into the 20's and he can take this team to the playoffs. Or more accurately, this Defense can take them into the playoffs.

Another test to see if they have learned to show up for every game, regardless of the "should win" prognostications. These are the games that have tripped them up in the not-to-distant past.

Pretty much a beat down on Kaeperd1ck and the Whiners. Should have been more.

The offense was much improved over last weeks game. Foles, too. He seemed a lot more comfortable dropping back and he was better protected as well. They have a ways to go to contend, but as I see it they are getting better each game and might just get better enough to win some of the bigger games down the stretch.

Gurley continues his torrid pace and he had 60 tough yards beyond the big 70 yard sprint. Austin remains dangerous.

So the D remains the juggernaut. Game saving. It's top 5 to me and I don't see them forkin up short of multiple injuries.

Minny coming up on the road. Foles and company need to take another step to be better.

That game was the most painful thing I've seen in a looong while. Bad, sloppy, ugly game and that is just referring to the officiating. The 49ers were an embarrassment to football and the Rams did their best to follow suit. The NFL should have cut-in, apologized for airing that game and switched over to something else, like another game or Gilligan's Island reruns.

Here's all you need to watch for in the Minnesota game. First, can the defense keep showing up? This is by far the longest stretch of decent play they've had in a while. As a jaded Rams fan, it is easy to just expect the let down. Second, can anyone on the Rams catch passes with any degree of consistency? Austin is the closest thing they have to a legitimate threat and even he drops a few.

The true test will be if they get down by a score or two in the 2nd half. Can this offense come back?

As bad as it was, it was better than the week before. Foles wasn't jumping around, he hit some big passes and had much better protection.

The offense is getting better each week. PP and run blocking. If we are to contend, this has to continue.

I like our chances in Minnesota. It's a good test match up, on the road, very similar strengths and weaknesses. Yes they are a 5 win team, But their biggest win of all this season is against the 3-5 Chiefs.

After watching them play in Week 1, I wouldn't have been surprised every week since then if they lost.

They had zero run blocking and little pass blocking the first few weeks and Manning ain't a mobile dude.

Last week, they looked pretty impressive against Green Bay.
Offense moved the ball on both rushing and passing. Total offense of 500 yds.
Defense again was strong. Guessing here, but I thought I heard em say a lil over 100 yds total offense for GB??

The defense has pretty much won all of their games, period.

If they stay healthy on both sides and play like they did this past Sunday, they'll finish up good. They're going to have to run the ball more to give Manning time or he won't hold up. There is still issues with the whole o-line.

Yeah the Broncos had something else in mind for him this season but quickly changed their minds.

Looking at their schedule, they should be a lock now with 7 wins.

Can't imagine he plays another season, it would be pretty cool to go out with a bang. The GB game says they have the D to do that.

The Broncos picking up Davis from San Fan could be huge. If he and Manning can gel, that may just be what the doctor ordered. Manning needs a big, steady, reliable target for the shorter throws and for when pass protection breaks down. The issue is how long Davis and/or Manning can go before breaking down. They are both a little fragile...

My son-in-law has been a Broncos fan since he was a kid. He lives and dies with them. Last week he didn't want to watch the GB game with anyone because he didn't think the odds were too good for his Broncos...

I don't blame the son-in-law. I thought it could be fugly..

Thankfully, it was the opposite.

While it is exciting to get a proven player, they need some blocking. Either these current guys suck, or they haven't caught on to the new scheme..?? Here's hopin they are still learnin..

Where did the "go for 2" in the first friggen quarter come from? My god Fish. WTF.

And now even me, the biggest Ram optimist of them all, is wondering if Foles is going to get this done. Dam to hell, it was right there for them.

Classic Jeff Fisher loss. He is the master at snatching defeat from the hands of victory. I saw in the Post-Dispatch where Jeff Gordon gave grades and gave Fisher a B. I would have given him a D- or F. No wonder this team can't win big games. The expectation at every level is that they can be successful without actually winning.

Foles is at his best when he is handing the ball to a RB, making short passes to his below average receivers and not turning the ball over. He is not taking any team to a Super Bowl, ever. His best hope is to get into a playoff game and pray like heck that the "D" can hold the other teams to 10 points or less.

I wasted 60 minutes on it. Thank god for tape delay. Only needed to watch the first 3 qtrs.

Perhaps the worst game under Fisher's tenure. The biggest game, and the worst game.

And it all fits into weirdo's plan. I do believe STL is the only nfl city that would actually fight to keep this team.

I guess there is a reason he has 6 winning seasons in 20+ years as an NFL Head Coach. It sure looked like he and Sneed could turn this mess around and guess they did if you consider 6 and 7 win teams a turnaround from 2 and 3 win teams. Silly me, I thought the goal was playoffs and a run at the Super Bowl.

I have to revise my assessment of Foles above. I was far to generous. He just isn't an NFL caliber QB. Granted, his O-line is weak and his receivers are far below average but he had several opportunities in the last two games to make passes to open receivers and just simply couldn't do it. I think Philly and STL were both snickering when the trade was made and now realize they were both had.

I don't like to write off young pro athletes. Particularly one who just 2 years ago set some very impressive nfl records.

But yesterday, the guy who first said "can't hit the broad side of a barn" was smiling somewhere because he just found his namesake. It was literally the worst I think I have seen, certainly remember anyway.

Foles was the reason we lost as I saw it. The D didn't help, but I put it on Foles. As far as the Philly trade goes, looking like both teams put some whip cream on top of a turd.

Here's what I know. Foles has not been the same qb since Mathews popped him a good one in that GB game.

If Fisher gives him the chance, he has a few games left to prove he's a starting nfl qb.

I didn't watch the Rams game & haven't watched them play at all this year, so I can't really comment on the o-line, but...

after watching Denver all year and their horrible o-line, you have to give it a big look.

folks will argue, but is Tom Brady REALLY a great QB or is he a by-product of a great system and great o-line???

Think back to the year the Chefs busted up his leg. Who replaced him? Cassel did and he went on to win a chitload of games that year. He was the next coming of Jesus, behind Brady. So much so, that KC dropped a chitload of coin on the guy cause he looked so great in New England.

Now he's been thru 3-4 teams, playing backup for Dallas and still looks like chit. Why? Cause he wasn't that good to begin with.

So back to the o-line deal, if a system has a great o-line that protects the qb and can also run the ball, hell, you two old farts could qb for New England..

I still say brady is a by-product. You put him on another team with no running game & chitty pass blocking, he'll look like dog chit. yes he has talent, but...

How is STL's running game?? Non-existant??

HAUS, I see your point and don't completely disagree. But you have to give credit to Brady for making the passes, even when everyone else is doing their jobs well. Watch the failed QB's over the last few years and the vast majority of them simply can't hit the targets when they're open. A huge part of the success of Kurt Warner was the fact that he could hit Holt and Bruce and even Faulk with pinpoint accuracy, when they were open. If you put Foles in Brady's spot right now he would be better, no question. But he would not be anywhere near the caliber of Brady. Had you been watching the Rams games, you would see balls sailing high, underthrown and both too far in front or behind open receivers. Either he just doesn't have what it takes or he needs a shrink!!!

BTW, I'm feeling a bit sorry for Broncos fans. That situation is deteriorating rapidly, right in front of our very eyes. But mother nature NEVER gets beat. She has a firm grasp on Manning and isn't letting go...

I hear ya Haus and I agree. As bad a time as Lock is having if he had just a decent O line he's probably be way ahead of now. No doubt a better line helps Foles too BUT Foles is having all kinds of issues. Finding the open guy, holding the ball too long and then just horrible accuracy in general, pressure aside.

He might get benched this week. I would be surprised, particularly with Fisher, but honestly his play was that inexcusably bad imo.

If he wants to be a starter in this league, the clock is ticking.
