I think they should give Dayly one of the last 4 spots....at least we can all be entertained when the US goes down to the Euro's yet again.

Looks like a pretty solid bunch to me. I would add Fowler, Furyk and Dufner to be sure. Several others would fit nicely as well. I would not want to be Davis Love III making the Captain's picks... How do you tell Bubba Watson he's not going? For me it would be easy: "Bubba, you're not going ... Maybe spend that weekend with a shrink..."
Bill Haas would likely be one of my picks as well. He's a cool cat that wouldn't get to rattled under pressure and has the game to play with anyone...
All that being said, that European team is friggin' stacked. Going to be a tall order to keep from getting steam rolled, much less win!! But hey, it's the Ryder Cup. We've seen some pretty amazing chit happen over the years, both good and bad...
Fork the Super Bowl The Ryder Cup is where its at. Think I might just have a Ryder Cup party and take off work Monday...

So, does Bubba get the last spot or does Love III see who is hot at the FedEx Championship this weekend and give it to the hot hand? Oh the drama...
It is a lose/lose with Bubba. If he gets the nod, he's going to be butt-hurt that he was the last one picked and higher in the standings than the others. If he doesn't get the nod, I can only imagine how unbearable he will be and the things he will say.
I'm hoping Justin Thomas plays well this weekend and edges him out. No need for a head case on the "team".

Gonna miss Bubba out there but Moore is playing really well and he basically earned his spot above Watson.

Nice to see the new blood as well. I am a Bubba fan but really didn't want him on this team. For all that he could bring to the game, he can also be a disaster. They simply don't need anyone walking on pin and needles because of one player that has headworms...
Go Team USA

That one could bite him, to be sure. RF seems to either be at the top of his game or struggling. I would feel a whole lot better about him if were a little more consistent... But when he's on, he's damn good!!
Game on tomorrow morning. Go USA!!!

Did not see a minute of it but the day ends all too typical.
US has to find their way to some clutch play from these guys.
Did Sergio turn into a Nicklaus/Woods/Jones clone again for this years Cup??

USA 9.5 - Euro 6.5, thanks to Westy.
Some might say Europe has us right where they want us.
Looking at the match ups for Sunday I don't get a warm and fuzzy.
Sorry but this group has to show me something for real.

I trust you haven't paid much attention to ol' Bubba over the past 5-10 years. The dude is unstable and at certain points was hated by half or more of the Tour players. Personally, I'm a fan and love the guy. But some of the chit he does, even as recently as this year's Masters is just unacceptable. Of course he later apologized and admitted he has issues he needs to work on. DL III was spot-on not picking him for this team. Doing stupid chit and apologizing later is not what you need on the Ryder Cup team.
And yes, I saw him all weekend. Very classy move on his part and very cool to see him making the effort to change his image and hopefully even the way he acts all of the time. But there is no chance in hell that I'm playing with that stick of dynamite if I'm DL III.
So, I'll have to respectfully disagree with your assessment and point to the scoreboard and final results as the evidence that my position was quite accurate.
Here is one of about a hundred incidents you can find by searching the web. This is the one from the Maters this spring. Bubba can't even manage a smile at Webb's hole-in-one
Again, I'm a huge fan but I'd never have put him on this year's RC team. Maybe he fixes his headworms and get on the 2018 team. I'd be OK with that if he can go 2 years without an issues...

I never advocated putting him on the team. On performance basis.
He's got emotional issues, lots of paranoid stuff including crowds that has effected him and his image.
Even calling his non participating attendance at this Ryder Cup as his greatest achievement in golf is way far out there by itself, but again, his intentions are solid.
He was asked to come there by a number of the players so not sure how your divisive and pins and needles angle are any kind of factor with the guy. It sounds like the exact opposite to me.
