.. and it made me think of one person in particular. I miss that grouchy, gravel voiced SOB. I'd say RIP but that bastage is probably doing anything but resting! Prolly tearing the place up. Moonlight madness on a daily basis! Thanks for your service Foots and to all of the others who served this Nation.

I thought of the man today as well. It was a beautiful morning at the Tank Pond. He would have been up and stirring earlier than I was.

I think I met him,not sure. Was thinking of my grandfather and 2 uncles this morning.

I stopped by his marker yesterday evening and drank a couple beers with him. I thanked him for his service in Vietnam and all the laughs we shared.
I miss John.

I can see why that place would bring back good memories of him. It was a beautiful morning at our lake especially with bacon frying in cast iron on the campfire.
