Along the way, an engine fails and the pilot informs the crowd that they'll have to drop some weight if they hope to make it. All of the luggage is emptied from the plane without complaint from the passengers, but the plane still needs to lose weight. The pilot then informs the passengers that people will have to be shed and the only fair way to go about it is in alphabetical order. The pilot first says, "Are there any African-Americans on board?" No response. Second, he asks, "Are there any Blacks on board?" Still no response. Third the pilot asks, "Are there any Coloreds on board?" Again, no response. Finally, a little black boys asks his dad, "Daddy, why aren't we raising our hands?" The father replies, "Son, we're going after the Mexicans. We're N*ggers today." The captain ended up in a small life boat with a British, French and an African American. The lifeboat began taking on water, so the captain decided that after throwing all weight overboard, that one of the passengers has to go overboard. To decide the person to go overboard, he posed a quiz based upon the most notorious maritime disaster, the sinking of the Titanic. The captain ask the Brit when did the Titanic sink? The Brit responded April 1912. Good, you stay on board. To the frenchman, approximately how many souls were lost? More than 1,500 replied the frenchman...he stayed.
