...........for all you haters. bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Great course that has produced some great play off endings.
Let's see if anybody wants to give Rory a run.
Usual hot suspects right now include Mcilroy, Sergio and Fowler.

I was invited to play this course a few weeks back. We were supposed to play it about 2-3 weeks ago but got shut down because it was too close to the tournament. We have been told we could play it next month, if we can get back there. I'm not sure I want to drive 4 hours to shoot 100+...
I'm putting all of my chips on Joost Luiten. You just don't get names like that on the Tour every day.
And on a very high note, I got my first ever hole-in-one a few weeks ago. Hole #12 at Persimmon Woods, in Weldon Spring. 170 yrds. 7 iron landed in front of the hole, released and rolled about 10-15 feet into the hole.

Lest it sound like I always pull out my 7 iron for a 170 yard shot, the hole is a little downhill and there was a breeze at my back. I figured that combo was worth about 1/2 club to a club. Still, it was one of those magical moments where everything worked like it was supposed to and I was Arnold Palmer for about 5 minutes... Of course, a few minutes earlier, I had taken an 8, on the #11 par 5. It was a complete butchery of the hole. One shot into a creek and one shot into their brutal rough and I had a 10 footer to save double bogey. I missed it and put a snowman on the scorecard (which I will have framed because it has that "1" on it). Shot a not-so-great 91 for the round. But holes 13 thru 18 didn't really matter at that point...

I need to get on that course! Heard it's a great track.
On the PGA I can't say I was surprised to see Woods out there. When he went off gimping last weekend I had my doubts as I've had before with his "injuries".
Now some, maybe most, have been valid. But just too may times these "aggravations" come up when he is clearly out of the hunt for a tourney win and on the verge of embarrassing himself, like at Firestone.
He likes to compete when he's winning. Otherwise, not so much. He better start winning or get used to the latter.

My guess is CBS and Nike have already told captain Watson that Tigger is on the team or we pull your mastercard ad off CBS..

That could be a joke of yours or.....or that could be the dead truth.
Now the Ryder cup, that is going to be fun.
4 of top 5 ranked golfers are Europeans. And the 5th is an Aussie....that we can't rent for the weekend.
Not sure if we have ever had a "weaker" team.....and all's I can hope is that it's perfect for a massive upset. The kind they usually pull on us.

He was damn lucky with that pulled screamer that ended up 10 feet from the hole and then in for the eagle.
No way that was anything but a mistake that went well. It was the tournament right there.

It is really good track. Tough but not so tough you can't score. Greens are fast and you will have very few putts that don't have some break to them. Many tiered greens. And most of all, stay out of the rough. It is thick and will wear you down, as well as run your score up!!
That was an awesome finish to the PGA. I was hoping Phil or Ricky could pull it off or at least get to a playoff. Nothing wrong with Rory pulling it out. The guy is a machine right now. Great to see!!
I was surprised they didn't play 18 this morning. We often play a hole or two after it is too dark to play, in our league. It is very difficult to see the breaks on the greens and your depth perception on the fairways is non existent. I can't imagine coming down 18, in a Major, with one or two strokes separating the leaders, in those conditions. But then again, I can't imagine doing 90% of the things those guys do...
