A good race at Phoenix but the first in a while without a bitchslap fest afterwards.
Just to bring everyone up to speed -
Bubba and I are tied for 1st being he once again picked the same drivers I had.
Paul Revere/Pit Bull is in last place and, once again, MissBudweiser chose to not participate again this year.
About the only thing you missed by not seeing posts was sprtsmn disagreeing with all things Nascar.
The official winner will be announced after the Homestead race next Sunday.
If you still owe dues please get them paid by end of week this week.

I have all of my money on Richard Johnson beating up Kyle Gordon, after the race...

*ick* Rental bowling shoes.
You can't go to this much trouble to change the format of how you determine your champion and end up with a scenario of having a guy who hasn't had a win taking the title. The NA$CAR media has been all over this, "It's all about WINNING to make the Championship" all year. It's kind of like the NFL allowing an 8-8 team that didn't make the playoffs to suddenly play an AFC or NFC title game winner play for the right to go to the Super Bowl. Nothing against Newman at all, he has put the car where it needed to be all season, while all of the "drama" revolved around everyone else. Having 4 tops 5's is only a mediocre season, even by bowling standards. If he wins today with the pressure on then you could justify it, but if he pulls a top 5 and everyone else finishes behind him, he's your champ? Either way, I hope he takes the title. Just to quiet the hype, and put the pundits in their place.
All these new "rules" are making Jeff Gordon cry.
I think NA$CAR needs another rule:
No wet paper bags in the pit area, until these guys figure out how to fight their way out of one!
There is a REASON here why Jimmie Johnson is a six-time champion, and it's really simple. Johnson repeatedly is able to finish a race, and put that race behind him. It's all about how quickly, you can wipe the sh*t off your shoes. If Newman has that quality too...so it follows that he should have the championship.

I got $500 riding on Larsons shoulders today. He just has to finish within 12 spots of the #22 and my season will be a success...if the 4 car goes out for some reason that jumps to a $600 payday.

I didn't have TV coverage here, but my even watching the leaderboard on my phone was busy swapping the lead, and that's the way it's supposed to be - every race. Ballsy call by Childers on the four tire change.
"I'm more excited about what this organization and what this group of people has done together. You know, there's a lot of things I would love to change about the last 18 months of my life, but tonight is not one of them." - Tony Stewart
I'm glad that great car owner and team came through in the end for you, Bubba!
Might just be my poor memory, but I think all four chasers are/were Stewart teammates.
