I have not found anything that contradicts the COE notice that all COE property is closed, due to the China virus. I know all of the COE boat ramps have closed at MTL and the only open ramps are 107 and U. Love that logic. Let's close all of the other ramps, so people can crowd into the few that are open. But I guess when you decide you're going to be a bureaucrat this is the stuff you live for.
My plan was to hunt a bird in the morning, from my boat and then crappie fish the rest of the day. But that plan is no good if we can't go on the COE land.
Anybody hear otherwise?
PS - Can you imagine what those 2 or 3 open ramps will be like if they still have the other ones closed and the spawn is in full swing. You'd better get to the ramps by 5:30am, if you want a place to park and for it to take less than an hour to put in...

I have read on MTL angle that If you are caught on COE ground you will be fined for trespassing. If you go by boat I don't know how they would catch you. To bad you cant hunt the state park ground. If I was going to only go fishing I would be there before 5:30.
I use to kill a lot of birds by boat at MTL. Good luck

I read his reports regularly and saw the one you are referring to. Here's why I have a little doubt... The 107 and U ramps are technically on COE land but the MDC runs/manages them, so they are open. Likewise, the MDC patrols the COE land with their agents. I'm just wondering if that applies to the land, like it does with the ramps.
