Congrats last stand!!! I have never been a smoker, so I am the worst person in the world to discuss it with. I have the simple-minded approach that you just quit... Not so easy eh?
I work with a gal for 10 years now. She has quit 5 times that I know of and two of those were for over 6 months. Once for almost a year. She just stepped out on the fire escape for one of her dozen smokes during the work day. Her mother and father were heavy smokers. Her mom died of heart disease and ultimately cancer 20+ years ago. Her dad died of his 2nd bout with lung cancer about 5 years ago. She just got back from the Dr. yesterday with high blood pressure and is starting to take meds for it. She's only 43 years-old!!!! How's that for an example of how addictive it is?
Stay strong and do whatever it takes. It can't just be me and Bubba on the sports forum...
