Nominated for the (National) James Beard Rising Star Chef of the Year (big time stuff)
The weird and best part of this? It's a little neighborhood type place. Nothing fancy. Down home cooking. I'm talking down home and outstanding. Without spending a fortune. Check out the menu.
I'm a hound for fried chicken so I ordered it. It's the best in St. Louis. And the mash taters with white gravy? Holy chit. $13.
Odds are you'll meet Rick, the chef. He came out to thank us for being there. bwaaaa....He had that azz backwards. Super nice young guy who clearly gives a hoot about what comes out of his kitchen.
I'm tellin ya, you ain't gonna miss with this place.
