Yeo should stick with Hut tonight and then, out of sheer necessity, let Allen take on the Sabres.
When you look at the Blues present position in standings, then understand how if Allen could have just managed 2 or 3 wins out of his last run of dismal game performances, The impact is revealing.
Hut is the guy, no doubt. But the team is still dependent upon Allen to be decent for his fill in starts. Here's to hoping he comes around, the Blues want to remain in top 3 of the Central.
Did you watch the game? Allen was outstanding. He gave up one goal on the worst goalie interference non-call in the history of the NHL and one power play goal that was unstoppable. Otherwise he had about 50 saves and some were spectacular. Unless you're holding him accountable for the empty netter with 0.4 seconds left.
As for the even strength goal, I am still in disbelief that was not disallowed. I am in even more disbelief the Blues have not made a huge stink about it in the press and by default to the NHL. Holy cow that was bad. And this is why the NHL will remain a garage league. The officiating on and off the ice is embarrassing.
