The one on the Fork crossed in front of us. It made it to the bank, so put one foot out to stop the canoe. I splashed it in the face trying to making it pissed off enough to rattle. Maybe it was cold ? I couldn't get a rise out of it. Probably the prettiest snake I've ever seen. Maybe just got done shedding ? It looked like it had a top grade paint job. Watched one clumsily cross a cove on Table Rock in July. A kid in the boat was casting at it. I didn't tell him what it was. This last one....... I was happier that it was on the other side of the river. Maybe the bears and pumas will keep their numbers in check. Post Extras
